I’m writing this just before heading out to something that feels way outside my comfort zone…
I’ve got a consultation booked with a tattoo artist to talk about my very first tattoo 😬
And honestly?
I am absolutely bricking it.
- What if I don’t explain my idea properly?
- What if she doesn’t “get” me?
- What if I make the wrong decision… and regret it?
- What if I’m too old for this?
So many thoughts, all at once.
And it got me thinking…
👉 This must be exactly how so many people feel before walking into a gym for the first time.
Or even before coming in to meet me for a consultation.
That mix of:
• Nerves
• Self-doubt
• “What if I’m not good enough?”
• “What if they don’t like me?”
• “Who am I kidding? I’m too old for the gym”
It’s a lot.
Even when you know it matters… it still feels uncomfortable.
💡 But here’s the thing…
Nothing changes if you always stay where you feel safe.
Every bit of growth… confidence… strength…
It all lives just outside that comfort zone.
And sometimes, the hardest part isn’t the workout, or the plan, or the commitment…
It’s just walking through the door.
Right now, I’m choosing to go anyway.
Nerves and all.
Because I know that even if it feels scary, I’ll learn something, grow from it, and (hopefully!) come away excited about what’s next.
And I want the same for you.
You don’t need to feel “ready”.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to take that first step.
💪 If you’ve been thinking about joining a class, or getting back into a routine…
Take this as your sign. You might be surprised at what you’re capable of.
